![]() Many of the replies were less patient and understanding than you would be led to believe. Rockstar tweeted an update this morning just before 10am, thanking players for their patience and understanding. Rockstar’s tweet about maintenance has earned 2.3K replies from frustrated players. Services will return as soon as maintenance is completed. Services for the Rockstar Games Launcher and supported titles are temporarily offline for maintenance. The GTA Trilogy is entirely playable on console however, and San Andreas is even included in Xbox Game Pass. Other Rockstar PC titles are also affected, including Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption 2. This means the GTA Trilogy has been unplayable on PC for more than half of the total time it has been available. The Rockstar Games Launcher on PC was taken down for maintenance at roughly 7pm GMT last night, November 11, and are currently offline at the time of writing. To be clear I'm not saying this is Steams fault or obligation to go outside their refund policy, before someone says 'that ain't Steams issue'.GTA Trilogy has just launched less than 24 hours ago globally, and already PC players will have found at least half of that time to be entirely unplayable - and not in the hyperbolic sense. ![]() Had I known that there was some bullshit launcher within a launcher I wouldn't have bothered, and because I tried to start up the game after 3 weeks instead of one, the 'it's been 14 days' policy is clear and absolute I guess, no exception( I don't know, this was my 2nd refund request overall). This is my first Rockstar games purchase on PC. Annnnnnnnnnd nope, generic 'your request has been denied on account of 14 days since purchase' or whatever. Hoping to bypass the likely run-around of Rockstar support, I did a refund request through Steam, explaining the situation as I did above. This is AFTER verifying my account as previously stated. Did that 8 times.and their system is saying my email isn't recognized. Joined up with Social club via browser( I wasn't able to do it through the app), verified my email, as well as verified that I'm human by picking the right pair of dice adding up to 5. I tried to launch the game today, was directed to join their 'Social Club'. I bought Max Payne 3 off Steam from the last sale on December 1st( so of course, it's been over the 14 days refund policy). Guess I'll tag my issue onto this thread. And there are plenty of advanced PC users who know very well how to maintain their hardware and software who run into this. Just because you are lucky enough to not experience them doesn't mean others do not. because the bugs, issues, and lack of basic features are so prevelant. It should be easy to put yourself into other people's shoes here, really. And even if this wouldn't end up being a specific issue with a specific launcher, it is still easy to understand why some would dislike so many libraries. Some find it hard to keep track of lots of different libraries for a huge variety of reasons. ![]() Some people are not as good at using PCs. There are lots of different examples of situations that can occur outside of just bugs, that can make this annoying.Īnd, even then, not everyone is an advanced user. ![]() One time I bought two games and both of their different end launchers wee down for maintenance for hours (one scheduled, one emergency) despite having bought both games on Steam. I personally run into launcher issues quite rarely, but I they do happen and if they happen a few times in succession it can be very frustrating. Click to shrink.because the bugs, issues, and lack of basic features are so prevelant. ![]()
